What is executive dysfunction?
According to the Cleveland Clinic, executive dysfunction is a symptom that happens with conditions that disrupt your brain’s ability to control thoughts, emotions and behavior. It’s common with conditions like ADHD [...]. Examples include being distractable, focusing too intently, trouble carrying out tasks, and trouble finding motivation to start tasks that seem difficult or uninteresting.
Are you a housecleaner/ maid?
Your Functional Friend is not a traditional housecleaning service! They will tackle your chore along side you. Their job is to keep you focused, motivated, and moving forward when you feel stuck or overwhelmed.
Why should I hire you instead of a traditional maid service?
Hiring a Functional Friend instead of a traditional housecleaning service will save you money and give you a sense of satisfaction you can only get by doing the chore yourself. Functionally Yours would love to be able to assist you in creating healthy cleaning and organizational habits so that you don't need either of us!
Can you just sit with me while I make phone calls or do my taxes?
Absolutely! Body doubling works for paying bills, sorting mail, or making dreaded appointments just as well as it works for laundry. We can help complete any task you find overwhelming or any task that you just need an extra set of hands with. Just remember we are here to help quiet the chaos. We cannot do the task for you.
Can you help me with painting my house?
Absolutely! Even though due to safety issues, your Functional Friend can't climb ladders, they can hand up rollers, hold tape, or be a gopher so you can concentrate on the painting - getting the job done faster.
What if I want to book a whole day for my project?
As we work to avoid burnout as much as we do completing tasks, we recommend breaking larger tasks into smaller sessions. Check out our monthly plans or call to discuss booking a one time series of sessions.
Can we meet first? I'm nervous about having a stranger in my home.

Do you background check your employees?
Since Functionally Yours is just starting out, I am operating independently right now. I am happy to schedule a free 15 minute Vibe Check via video so that we can meet before you schedule an appointment. You may also check me out on LinkedIn.
How far will you travel? I live in Bend.
Your Functional Friend can travel up to 30 miles to your home from Prineville. Unfortunately, Bend is not within our service area.
If you come to an event with me, do I have to buy your dinner/ticket?
Yes. Functionally Yours charges per hour for it's event services. This does not include any tickets or meals that may be required during the event. You would be responsible for any additional charges needed to complete the event.
For event companionship, do we drive together or can you meet me there?
Which ever makes you more comfortable!
As long as the event is within 30 miles of Prineville, your Functional Friend can meet you there. Drive time would not count towards your final cost.
If the event is further, they can ride with you. Drive time would be included in your final cost.

Functionally Yours knows it can be uncomfortable having a stranger in your home. We offer a free 15 minute Vibe Check via video before you book so we can meet and get a feel for each other. This will allow you to make sure you and your Functional Friend click.
